À Flots est un magazine interdisciplinaire ayant pour mission de faciliter les rencontres et la collaboration entre les étudiant.es et artistes de toutes disciplines, avec une attention particulière à l’écriture et aux pratiques de l’image. Nous offrons aux étudiant.es et artistes émergent.es une plateforme web et physique pour partager leurs expérimentations avec leurs formes d’art. Couvrant non-seulement la publication d'œuvres préexistantes, À Flots désire créer des opportunités pour des artistes de différents milieux de collaborer sur un même projet, en les accompagnant dans ce processus.
À Flots is an interdisciplinary magazine with the mission to facilitate artistic encounters and collaboration between students and artists across disciplines, with particular emphasis on writing and image-based practices. We offer emergent artists and students a physical and web platform to share experiments with their artforms. On top of publishing pre-existing artworks, À Flots wants to create opportunities for artists from different backgrounds to collaborate on a common project, while accompanying them through the process.
Le mouvement
À Flots se dédie au mouvement, sous toutes ses formes : de déplacement physique à courant social, artistique ou politique, À Flots vise la publication d’œuvres engagées et abordant le mouvement, de manière esthétique ou conceptuelle. En mettant de l’avant collaboration et communauté, nous tournons le dos à l’adage « pense, agis » afin de laisser la pensée émerger du geste.
À Flots is committed to movement, in all its forms: from physical displacements to social, artistic, and political currents, À Flots strives to publish engaged works that deal with movement, either aesthetically or conceptually. By foregrounding collaboration and community, we wish to turn our backs on the popular saying “think before you act”, and let thought emerge from doing.
